Challenging White Supremacy Culture. This online (Zoom) workshop will use story sharing, reflection and physical expression to give participants a chance to recognize and shift away from racism. *While white people are the target audience for this workshop, we welcome any Indigenous, Black, and People of Color (IBPOC) who might feel called to observe and/or share their valuable perspectives. Just Arts community group:

Equity Arcata is a partnership between the city of Arcata, Humboldt State University, local businesses and members of the community working to make Arcata a more inclusive and welcoming environment for people of color.

Just Arts is a working group within Equity Arcata, working to organize opportunities for artistic expression, exhibition, performance and dialogue surrounding racial equity.

Humboldt County Human Rights Commission:

Human Rights Commission is to aid in eradication of discrimination in housing, employment, education, public accommodation, race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status

Commissioners are chosen by the Board of Supervisors and appointed on the basis of their interest and concern for human rights. The fifteen member commission represents the appointments of three members each by each supervisor. For more information click here.
